Root Canal Urmston

Afzal has undertaken several additional qualifications to provide you with the best possible care
Regular brushing and dental examinations can help to keep your teeth and mouth as healthy as possible, but if plaque and decay are left undetected and allowed to progress, they can cause serious problems within your gum and jaw. In some situations, depending on how far the decay has progressed, a root canal treatment may be required which involves removing the nerve of the tooth and cleaning out any infected material. The canal is then sealed up to prevent repeat infection and further pain.

Should you ever need this type of care – known as endodontic or root canal treatment – you couldn’t be in better hands than with us. Our co-owner Afzal is a specialist endodontist and is on the specialist register. 1 of only 250 in the country.

What’s more, Afzal often uses an operating microscope during his daily work, and especially with endodontic treatment. This allows him to see detail between 4 and 15 times greater than with the naked eye, and can even show the nerves of affected teeth. Afzal is therefore able to detect signs of decay and infection at the earliest possible stage and prescribe treatment accordingly. The earlier action is taken, the more likely it is that it will be successful and clear up the problem at hand – without causing you too much discomfort or the permanent loss of any teeth.

“Outstanding treatment for two tricky root canal treatments so that new crowns could be fitted. As a 'nervous' patient after bad dentist experiences in the past I was reassured by the friendly staff and clear explanation of the procedure. I can't recommend more highly!”
